Located in the Upper Engadine, St. Moritz is considered the birthplace of alpine winter tourism. You can now find a new holiday home here in the heart of the mountains, on the fringe of a luxurious holiday resort. It is the perfect location to enjoy the atmosphere of the mountains with all the amenities of modern, three-storey interiors.

The author Christian Seidel summarised the origin of the holiday home’s mountain location in an intriguing phrase: "Romanticism began its triumphant march through European culture at the beginning of the 19th century. Paintings, such as Caspar David Friedrich’s "The Wanderer above the Sea of Fog", aroused desire. An obscure yearning drew the nobility and affluent middle classes to the Swiss Alps. Here, they wished to engage with this feeling in traditional wooden houses, but without foregoing amenities. As a result, what was previously a mountain hut became a decorative accessory to the villas and magnificent residences. The chalet was born."

A luxurious modern chalet

The house is located in an alpine holiday resort at an altitude of around 2000m. Here, the sun shines more than on average and the sun terrace is generously dimensioned, accordingly. From here, you have an unparalleled view of the picturesque mountain panorama. The view can also be enjoyed through the large frameless French windows in the huge living room. A grand, free-standing fireplace invites you to end the day comfortably by the crackling fire. The wine required to complete this idyllic scene is stored in a temperature-controlled réduit.

A sophisticated combination of wood and stone characterises the traditional yet modern design of the whole interior space. The custom open-plan kitchen has a natural stone cover and is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances. The design of the bedrooms is aligned to the property’s rural location; glass bead blasted spruce surfaces lend a rustic look. On opening the bar door, practical LED lights illuminate the inside of the cabinet. The bedrooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms.

A modern lift leads from the underground car park directly to the individual floors. One of these is home to the wellness oasis. Here, you can train on a variety of exercise bikes, a heated swimming pool meets the most exacting requirements, and the accompanying sauna leaves nothing to be desired.
