hortus in basel

HORTUS is a pioneering, sustainable office building in the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area in Allschwil. It is characterized by its construction method using wood, clay and other natural materials and is intended to be energy-positive. The building sets new standards in terms of sustainability and is expected to have offset the gray energy used for its construction after 30 years.

Thanks to the Rio-Therm convector unit and innovative convector fan vents that work on the displacement air principle, conventional horizontal ventilation ducts were not required
