school building jungholzstrasse, zurich oerlikon
At the school building Jungholzstrasse 43, high summer temperatures of over 32°C and rising CO2 levels in the classrooms were significantly disrupting teaching activities. A solution was needed that would efficiently combine both cooling and heating without disrupting the school`s day-to-day operations.
The project was implemented in a gentle, room-by-room renovation during the summer months. The old radiators were dismantled and replaced with modern Rio-Therm peripheral units.
From the ground floor to the 6th floor, highly efficient Rio-Therm B peripheral air conditioning units now ensure an optimal indoor climate. The units have undergone project-specific optimisation, soundproofed and guarantee draught-free air conditioning – both in summer and winter.
Thanks to their high energy efficiency and quiet operation, the Rio-Therm units meet all comfort requirements in accordance with SIA 382/1 and SIA 180 and contribute to a pleasant and healthy learning environment in the long term.
