The new KEBAG Enova facility in Zuchwil (Canton of Solothurn) replaces the existing waste-to-energy plant after approximately 50 years of operation. The facility processes waste generated by around 500,000 residents from 176 municipalities in the cantons of Bern and Solothurn. It is considered one of the most advanced waste-to-energy plants in Europe.

Monitoring and control of the plant´s processes are managed from the central control room. As the operational command center of the facility, it oversees and controls all plant processes. Extensive glazing provides direct visual access to the process areas, creating a close connection between the control room and plant operations.

For the control room, Erich Keller AG supplied eight D-Com operator workstations. Designed for continuous 24/7 operation, the ergonomic consoles integrate the extensive displays and system technology required for process monitoring and control. The dark material palette, featuring linoleum work surfaces, complements the architectural concept and creates a calm and focused working environment.
