SIG is the central utility company for energy, water and other infrastructure services in the canton of Geneva. This also includes STEP d`Aïre (La station d`épuration des eaux usées d`Aïre). STEP is responsible for maintaining the water quality of the Rhone and collects and treats wastewater from the city of Geneva, 24 municipalities in the canton and part of the cross-border region. The new control room for monitoring the large wastewater treatment plant is equipped with three height-adjustable D-Com Heavy control centre desks. Thanks to the remote technology installed by Weytec, no large technical compartments are required within the desk.
