kitchen in winterthur
A harmonious overall concept was developed for this project, which impresses with its combination of warm wood, innovative materials and clear design language.
The tall cabinets were finished in NUO walnut – an innovative, flexible wood material that combines the natural grain and elegance of real wood with a velvety touch. The surface has an antique matt finish, and the edges are crafted in solid walnut. This creates a high-quality, consistent look that lends the room a sense of warmth and tranquillity.
The centrepiece of the kitchen is the island with a brass-coloured lacquer finish with a swirl pattern that we developed ourselves. This unique handcrafted design brings a warm metallic look to the room and creates an exciting contrast to the soft wood fronts. The Nero Anthracite ceramic cover emphasizes the clean, modern lines and is accentuated by subtle base and ambient lighting.
The solid wood handles with walnut recesses and black backing blend harmoniously into the overall picture and emphasise the attention to detail.
The open-plan design combines the kitchen, dining, and living areas into one elegant space. Generous glass fronts bring nature indoors, while the fireplace and fine materials create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The aesthetic appeal of the materials continues in the bathroom, with walnut surfaces and Naturafloor walls that combine naturalness and modernity.
This project shows how precision craftsmanship, innovative materials and timeless design merge into a harmonious whole.
