sbb travel centre

The SBB now has new, modern counter halls. The first service centre in the new concept was inaugurated in Winterthur in 2015; others followed and are set to follow across Switzerland. The previous glass barriers between customers and staff have been entirely done away with, the counter is made from wood, and giant LED screens and banners with SBB advertising illuminate the setting in the background. The new travel centres naturally offer barrier-free access for people with disabilities. Wheelchair users can, for example, log into the new ticket system at the press of a button and are then served at the travel centre’s disabled customer counters. The new waiting and information islands are dynamically upgraded with striking elements which underscore the corporate design of SBB.
