three-family home in st. gallen
In the popular Rotmonten district, not far from the University of St. Gallen, a modern new building with three elegant apartments has been constructed. Erich Keller AG was commissioned to carry out the interior work on the ground floor and in the attic. The architecture is characterized by timeless simplicity and a consistent, functional design. The atmosphere of the interior spaces is largely determined by the materials used: exposed concrete walls meet light sea pine veneer, which develops a noble, slightly darker patina over time due to the incidence of light. The cabinet fronts, doors, and windows are also finished in sea pine and coated with a white pigmented lacquer. Continuous vertical recessed handles emphasize the clear design.
A seamless hard concrete floor and ceilings made of exposed concrete or white-glazed wooden beams frame the rooms above and below, creating a harmonious whole.
The exclusive cooking island adds a special touch: the worktop and upper drawers are made of polished chrome-nickel steel, while the fronts are finished in olive green linoleum.
The matching grey dining table is stylishly highlighted by striking Aim pendant lights.
Easy-care Corian washbasins and mirror cabinets with aluminum frames create a calm, understated atmosphere and a lasting beautiful appearance in the bathrooms.
