The temporary building consists of two three-storey pavilions in prefabricated timber construction, connected by a walkway. The two volumes, assembled from 180 modules, provide around 30 classrooms for up to 500 grammar school students as well as specialist, preparation and instrumental rooms, a dining and common room and administrative spaces.
The basis is a modular kit: three timber modules make up one classroom, and all other rooms fit into the same grid. The timber structure, prefabricated at Blumer-Lehmann AG, has a service life of 30 years and can be dismantled after ten years and re-erected elsewhere in a new form.
A total of 159 Riotherm Convec sill units, complemented by Riotherm X, provide pleasant temperatures.
