Within the Riotherm system, Riotherm Convec handles heating and cooling delivery in the room. The water-based units integrate into sills, raised floors, walls or vertical elements. The result is an indoor climate that operates quietly, respects the architecture and runs on efficient system temperatures.
Using convection
Convection, precisely guided
Riotherm Convec guides room air in a controlled way over water-based heat exchangers, brings it to temperature and returns it quietly to the room. This produces heating and cooling output with low air velocity and flow temperatures close to the room.
Sill
The sill version can accommodate an integrated cable duct. Technology, cabling and indoor climate are thereby brought together in one functional component.
Access remains simple and supports planning, use and later maintenance.

Riotherm Convec operates with water flow temperatures of 20 °C for cooling and 26 °C for heating. The low temperature lift creates ideal conditions for free cooling, low-temperature heat and waste heat recovery – and reduces the energy required for heating and cooling across the life cycle.
Option: disinfection with UV-C light
For healthcare facilities, care institutions and retirement homes, Riotherm Convec can optionally be equipped with integrated UV-C disinfection. The UV-C tube is integrated into the unit’s shielded air path and irradiates the air passing through.
This significantly reduces viruses and other microorganisms in the air.

What information do you need for an initial assessment?
For an initial assessment we need the key details about the building: type of use, energy reference area (ERA) and any available planning documents. Floor plans and façade sections are particularly helpful. They allow us to evaluate the spatial and technical starting point and develop a first solution approach.
Who should take part in the first discussion?
Ideally the client, the architects and the HVAC planners are all involved from the outset. That way we can look at requirements, spatial options and technical conditions together – and clarify open questions early on.
What happens next in the process?
Once we have reviewed the documents, we present our first solution approach in a video call and develop it further together. We then recommend visiting a suitable reference installation. On that basis we refine the solution and prepare the quotation.
