Existing and new premises were newly conceived and furnished together with the internal teams in order to make the school’s values and attitude tangible in space. The result is spaces that encourage flexibility and exchange.
The classrooms at JuveCampus City on Hallwylstrasse provide space for teacher-led instruction as well as for workshops, discussions and individual forms of learning. Two flexible learning landscapes – a room for participatory teaching and an open learning studio – create forward-looking places of learning.
The working world of the teaching staff was also rethought: school management, administration and teachers share open areas with a communal table, a lounge and focus rooms, which strengthens communication and collaboration.
A restrained yet colourful design concept creates the balance between calm and liveliness. The general school furniture stays deliberately neutral, while the learning zones set clear colour accents. In the offices, the existing red furniture was integrated harmoniously; natural green tones and honest materials produce a coherent, contemporary overall picture.
