The employees of Apron Control are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the handling, manoeuvring, parking and maintenance area for aircraft. They not only guide and monitor the moving aircraft but also direct vehicles and tugs safely to their destination. A good view is required to monitor these apron areas. Subsequently the control centre is usually located in a tower. Apron Control at Geneva Airport has been equipped specifically to customer requirements and the workstations offer flexible installation technology. Screens and equipment can be individually positioned and installed over the full length and depth of the tables, to leave a completely clear view of the apron.
