The heat never even reaches the room

Without Cool-Top, the heat from computers and screens rises straight into the room, where it has to be removed by the building’s cooling system. Cool-Top acts earlier: the system absorbs the heat directly at the workstation, removes it via a water-cooled heat exchanger and releases temperature-controlled air upwards at low velocity.

Air velocity stays below 12 cm/s in the working area. That creates a calm microclimate even at densely equipped multi-screen workstations.

Depending on the version, Cool-Top removes up to 2.5 kW of heat. The cooling system’s electrical power consumption is only 5 to 10 W.

Cool-Top is integrated directly into the workstation. Cooling, equipment compartment and desk form one functional unit.

High chilled-water temperatures, passive self-regulation and a reduced number of technical components keep the effort for control and maintenance low. CT10 and CT15, for example, require no filter unit.

Thanks to the small dimensions of the Cool-Top 10 cooling system, very small desk dimensions can also be realised.

Cool-Top 15 is suitable for trading and control centre desks with low to medium IT and equipment loads.

Cool-Top 25 is designed for high heat loads and 24/7 use. The integrated desk cooling units can take over room cooling entirely.

Cool-Top was not added to a desk after the fact. Cooling system, air management, equipment compartment and workstation are developed together and matched to one another. Cool-Top can be integrated directly into the Orbit Polar and Zenith Polar workstation systems; Cool-Top 10 is additionally available for Orbit.

The building services are also involved early on. Cooling capacity, hydraulics and interfaces are coordinated already in the planning phase and checked after commissioning.

The Cool-Top desk cooling systems of Orbit Polar and Zenith Polar can be retrofitted with Steri-Pac. Steri-Pac is a powerful UVC emitter that destroys microorganisms.
