The new Cooperative Regional Control Centre North coordinates fire brigade, police, rescue service and disaster control operations in the Schleswig-Flensburg district. The new 3500 square metre building has been adapted to latest requirements and is equipped with a modern emergency power supply, for example. Open and bright work stations ensure a pleasant atmosphere for the 24/7 shift operations. In addition to the 30 ultra-modern D-Com desks, which have their own micro-climate thanks to Cool-Top, great focus was also put into providing a healthy working environment for the dispatchers. The Cool-Top in-desk cooling system is also equipped with Steri-Pac to sterilise the air. This is a powerful UVC emitter that eliminates micro-organisms such as spores, bacteria and viruses, thus preventing infectious diseases as much as possible. In addition to the control centre, pleasant break-out areas as well as quiet rooms and retreats have been provided.
